It’s the Christmas classic that’s been reborn thanks to the internet and the Podsafe Music Network! Christmas In Malibu is a very cool tune about a forlorn surfer boy who broke his surfboard on a rock just before Christmas, and then gets a surprise visit from a surfin’ Santa on Christmas Day.
Joe Klein, founder of The Podcast Voice Guys, wrote and produced the song back in 1988 and recorded it with a couple of surfers he found hanging out on Malibu beach. It became a big surprise radio hit for a few years and then pretty much faded from view.
Joe added it to the PMN last year and lots of podcasts started playing it. This year, with the music video on all the big video sites, it’s even bigger!
Joe recorded a couple of promos that feature the whole song with a special voice over introduction. There’s one for Podshow podcasts and another one especially for Adam C. and The Daily Source Code.
