Special Blame Amy Promo, Songs- Worst Down and Flawgic.
This pre-made, PODSAFE segment is free to be used by any and all podcasters who want to help promote this independent band in a non traditional way. I know Adam Curry and C.C. Chapman are big fans already and we ask you to help. The band, Blame Amy and their Manager has given me the O.K. to get this out to as many shows as possible…
Musician’s Site: Blame Amy.com or Myspace.com/BlameAmy - I can’t say enough about these guys, I chat with them all the time online and they are some of the best friends a guy can have. Here is the short review I did for them- “From first listen, Blame Amy has grabbed my attention and flat will not let go. Blame Amy is much more than a great sounding band. The songwriting of vocalist Jamal Buchet is exceptional and their songs somehow become etched into your soul like a tattoo. They become a part of you, a part that you cherish and protect, even flirting on the edge of worship..”…
At 7:15pm April 27th, Power94.1 out of Bend, Oregon pitted Blame Amy’s “Perfect Fit” against a hip hop track by Chris Brown that had beat out the competition all week long. Well, not this time!
It’s a segment called Crank It or Yank It, something most commercial stations do. They pit two new tracks against each other, and leave it to their listeners to decide. And this time, they ALL voted for Blame Amy. All of em. Could’ve been the massive myspace push, but there were definitely more listeners calling in than we had contacted. Go Bend, Oregon!Aside from this, their first big break into the mainstream, this station has NEVER played a non-major label band, and has NEVER played a local band.
each week the heard world offers the best in avant garde and experimental podcasting. sometimes it’s music based, and sometimes it’s complete rambling. but a good time is to be had by all. please take a minute to listen and open your ears to new vehicles of broadcast. podcasting doesn’t have to be just talking and music!
in the latest show:
a SID chip based, c64 opening gives way to eloquent musings which are enveloped in delightful chirps and squeaks from my “horrible swarming insect synth”. dan wilson’s shropshire examiner takes us to new heights where we enjoy lots of music by you! the consumers! a quick audio tour of a college train ride, and before you know it, the fun’s over, and you have to wait another week to hear my sweet atonal refrains.
come on! try it out! if you don’t like it, maybe someone you know does! (hint hint)
